Enter Shikari, Take my country back

The ring is a commentary on the precarious state of the world in 2021. Faced with turmoil, several crises, and a rapidly changing environment, we often feel like the rug is being pulled from under us.
This is the idea that the Edge ring depicts. The ring is made of a shiny construction representing a cliff (the edge), three silver wires and a beautiful amethyst stone. While the stone is still attached to the cliff, it appears to be only hanging by a thread. This leaves the stone in an unstable state: still hanging on, but seconds away from tragedy.

Artist Bio:
Tomas Miskovic is a jeweler with over 20 years of experience. With his label "unexpected jewelry", he attempts to break the rules of "ordinary" jewelry and of the expected. Each piece he creates is an experiment in pushing the boundaries of the craft and attempting to re-invent what jewelry can be. He takes particular care to design each piece to be wearable, driven by a belief that his jewelry belongs out in the real world, adorning the hands of those who decide to wear his unique creations.
Although attracted to a contemporary aesthetic, Tomas's jewelry is rooted in traditional goldsmithing techniques. He makes his jewelry from gold, sterling silver and colorful stones.
His jewelry is inspired by modern architecture, geometric shapes, and nature.
Originally from Slovakia, he is currently based in Vienna, Austria.
