Alicia Kline - Bellator

Artist: Alicia Kline, North Dakota
Materials: sterling silver, Montana agate
Size: 8.75
Dimensions: Top 3" x 2.5", Band Width 1/4" x 1/2"

Artist Statement: “Bellator” is the Latin word meaning “Warrior.” And trust me, when you put on this power ring you feel ready for any battle life can hand you! I created the moose antlers by hand, first fusing scraps of recycled sterling silver, then carving each one freeform with my hand-piece and a bit of imagination. I chose a striking cut of Montana agate to complete this epic finger-shield. Yes, "Bellator” is meant to make you feel powerful and confident, but rest assured it could provide some serious self-defense should you need it. Hand-carved and truly one-of-a-kind, this power ring can’t help but bring out your inner warrior.

Artist Bio: I am a primarily self-taught metalsmith, living and working in rural ND alongside my husband and four children. My home studio is located on the edge of a bluff overlooking the Missouri River, where the immense beauty of nature surrounds and inspires me daily. As a former HS teacher, I find great joy in researching and trying out new metalsmithing techniques…some might say I have Creative ADD as my style seems to follow my sense of curiosity! My biggest motivation is a good challenge, and metalsmithing provides endless ways to help me push my boundaries and continue learning. I truly enjoy making jewelry, and I can’t wait to see where this journey leads next.
