Dana Fear - Tall Respo Ring

Artist: Dana Fear, Michigan
Materials: sterling silver, 18k gold
Size: 10
Dimensions: 3/4", 1/8"

Artist Statement: Dramatic but still perfect for everyday wear. This body responsive ring contains eleven 18k gold wires that shift from one side of the ring to the other with the movement of the wearer. The wires produce a pleasant yet subtle *click* with each shift. When done intentionally they provide a point of focus that can be both calming and meditative. When done spontaneously it's a little "hello" reminding the wearer of its presence on the body. Although it takes up 3/4" on the top on the finger it tapers in the back for a very comfortable fit.

Artist Bio: Working out of her retail shop in rural and scenic Leelanau County, Michigan, Dana's main focus is jewelry that naturally responds to body movement. Her style was born from needing an outlet to cope with the anxiety of feeling invisible. What emerged is what she likes to refer to as "sophisticated fidget jewelry". Pen clicker? Key jingler? Foot tapper? Adults don't grow out their need and desire to fidget--Dana's jewelry gives an outlet for busy and anxious bodies that is creative, durable, stylish and calming.
