Artist Statement: What caught my eye was the amazing color spectrum in the piece of fabric. I also was drawn to the idea of symbols of luck, something we all need, especially during this complicated time. These three necklaces were made in response to the shapes and colors found in the piece of the cloth and hope they can serve as a lucky talisman to the wearer.

Artist Bio: Maia received an MFA from State University of NY at New Paltz. She has been in numerous group and solo shows, and has taught jewelry making across the country since 2014. Safran Everyday is based in Pittsburgh, PA, where Maia lives with her partner Matt and the best dog in the world, Mochi.
