Carlos Alomse - Koaijtik

Artist: Carlos Alomse, Mexico
Materials: silver 950, katalox wood (purple Mexican royal ebony), peridot, zafire, turquoise
Size: 7.8
Dimensions: 1 1/4", 1 1/2"

Artist Statement: The process of creating with wood is a beautiful act and connection with nature, wood is a noble material and integrating it into my work has made me more aware of the beauty of nature, it is like being inside the tree and observing what the world is transformed into, this piece is a transformation of a tree into a piece of art, thus we who observe beauty beyond the object as such are transformed.

Artist Bio: I started my career as a jeweler artist 14 years ago, and what I know to this day I have learned on my own, I have taught myself not to have limitations, not to stop in the search for the usefulness of any material as a piece of jewelry, study philosophy and teach myself to analyze, observe, transform and turn everything into something functional, beautiful, to give it a purpose.
