Chris 'Cruise' Cooper | Inner-Beauty Unveiled

Artist: Chris 'Cruise' Cooper, Scotland
Materials: sterling silver with CZs and moissanite
Size: 6

Artist Statement: I wanted this ring to represent beauty but not in a typical sense. Inner beauty radiates and transcends physical appearances. It is the luminosity of a brilliant mind, the warmth of a generous heart, and the grace of a benevolent spirit that truly defines the timeless and enduring beauty within anyone or anything. The intentional choice of off-putting and unsettling outer surfaces, juxtaposed with refined and high-polished inner surfaces, creates a fascinating dichotomy.

The use of pave-set Cubic Zirconias with Aurora Borealis colours adds a dynamic and vibrant element to the design, symbolising the diverse and colourful facets of inner beauty. Clear Moissanite gemstones contribute to the overall elegance and sophistication of the piece.

This design not only captures attention but also invites contemplation, encouraging observers to look beyond initial appearances and appreciate the profound beauty that lies within."

Artist Bio: My name is Chris, but I work under the alias of Cruise. I am a 3D design student in my final year of studies ,at Gray's School of Art, Robert Gordon's University. My work usually revolves around making a difference to peoples lives and solving problems in unique and playful ways.
I mainly work towards becoming a product designer but I have a real passion and love for metal work and jewellery which I like to work on in my spare time.
I would consider myself to be a multidisciplinary designer and I am always looking to learn and try new techniques and skills.
In terms of Jewlery, I have been expanding my skillset where possible, wax carving, stone-setting and silversmithing are the main areas that I have been working on recently.
