Description: Continuing my study of merging art and anatomy, I wanted to create a second pair of earrings that focus on the skeletal structure of the chest. These dangling earrings portray two separate upper bodies. On each side there is one half of a book matched pair of Montana agates, along with one half of a pair of sterling silver chasing and repoussé set of lungs that are made to mimic the shape of the agates. The sterling silver sternum is hand pierced and carved, and the clavicles and cervical vertebrae are crafted from sterling silver wire. The agates are set in hand reclaimed and rolled, solid 14k gold bezel, and the small jump ring in the trachea area is made of the same. The ear wires are made to resemble the silhouette of a head complete the pair.
