Artist Statement: Exquisite fidget ring is a technical, fabrication exercise, combining my incessant need for fidgeting, love of hidden compartments and mechanisms. The five-piece ring band is designed to allow airflow while providing a substantial shank; a personal quirk I have with wide rings. Sized to hold anti-anxiety medication.

Artist Bio: Sookyung Augustin is a first year IU Bloomington, MFA candidate in jewelry and metalsmithing. She holds her BFA in Illustration/metals from Grand Valley State University, 2009. Established Sookyung Designs LLC and began assistant teaching the same year. She has taught beadweaving, metalsmithing, and lapidary at private studios since 2011 before returning to school in 2023.
