Artist Statement: Not unlike a living flower, this ring study is a dive into finding ways to contain, support and elevate those parts that are particularly vulnerable. The fragility of the enamel elements is embraced and captured using techniques which intentionally do not call attention to their purpose but rather enhance the details and layers of a flower.

Artist Bio: I have always been a forager. Beach stones and other found objects have been predominant voices in my work for over 25 yrs. I am continuously exploring ways in which to elevate that which is often overlooked, taken for granted or considered worthless. Tho my more recent work has also come to include the colorful, mouthwatering world of enamel, my overall theme remains the same, that of highlighting the natural world.
