Artist Statement:  I'm all about texture & I love fusing Argentium. My Metal Mosaics are a combo of fusing textures on Argentium, and interaction of colors, placement & negative space. This ring is .923, .925 14K GF & a bit of .800 reticulation silver. My background is in fine jewelry, so functionality and long-term wear is ingrained, with an ethos of 'Extremely Wearable Jewelry'.

Artist Bio: Metalsmith/ Artist April Bower has always been fascinated by the many varied processes involved in metalworking. While earning a BFA degree, her jewelry work was experimental and creative using silver. After teaching metalsmithing and then apprenticing in fine jewelry, she then began working exclusively in gold, diamonds and faceted stones for 18 years. She now has come full circle, back to what she loves teaching and the fun, creative, metal work.  Her works, executed in Argentium sterling silver, copper & gold, steel, bi- metals and Mokume’ Gane, features primarily metal with textures, sparingly accented with gemstones, diamonds & semi-precious stones. April is a patient instructor who stresses good design principles, innovation and experimentation in her teaching, using the "less is more" motto. Bower teaches Online, as well as live workshops at Art Retreats and private studios throughout the US.
